Andy and Sue Keen would be delighted to welcome you to Torlinnhe Guest House.  Situated just a mile from Fort William’s town centre, Torlinnhe overlooks the shores of Loch Linnhe.  Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast in our dining room with its picture window giving spectacular views of the loch and mountains beyond.  All our rooms are en-suite with complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, television, hairdryer and free wireless internet access.  We have plenty of parking, drying facilities and a garage for cycles.

A full traditional Scottish breakfast is included.  Alternatively you might like to try one of our alternative dishes such as Breakfast Cranachan, a delightful combination of raspberries, yoghurt, Scottish honey and oatmeal or tasty Scottish Oatcakes with Smoked Salmon Scramble.  To support our local businesses and to give you a real taste of Scotland, we endeavor to use only the very best of local produce.  If you let us know in advance that you have any special dietary requirements we will try to source suitable produce for you.  We don’t do evening meals but toasties are available to 8.30 pm.  Alternatively, we would be very happy to make a reservation for you at one of Fort William’s excellent restaurants.

Whether you are a walker, cyclist, climber or motorist, Torlinnhe is an ideal base to explore the West Highlands.  Glen Nevis is just over a mile away offering the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis as well as easy paced woodland walks, all with stunning views.  Six miles away you’ll find The Nevis Range Ski Resort with its mountain gondolas, a wonderful playground for skiiers and snowboarders in winter.  In summer the mountain gondolas take you effortlessly to heights of 2150 feet allowing you to experience some of the world’s most ancient and beautiful landscape including spectacular views of the Great Glen and Ben Nevis. In nearby Leanachan Forest you’ll find the world famous Witch’s Trail, a 45km mountain biking route.  There are also lots of unmarked routes in the forest for walkers.  Just five miles away is the Corran ferry, take a short trip across the water to explore the remote Ardnamurchan peninsular.  Or travel back in time in atmospheric Glencoe to find out about the infamous Massacre.  Stand and marvel at Neptune’s staircase, a flight of eight lochs at the start of Thomas Telford’s 60 mile two hundred year old Caledonian Canal or perhaps discover the secrets of whisky distilling and enjoy the unique sensation of the Dew of Ben Nevis at the Ben Nevis Distillery.  For other attractions, places to eat and general information, please click here.

If you’d like a relaxing day, please feel free to use our lounge for as long as you wish to enjoy the spectacular view.  See the boats go by on the loch or watch our unusual and sometimes dramatically entertaining eco-friendly wood burning stove in action!  We’d be happy to serve you coffee, tea or delicious hot chocolate topped with cream and a flake, perhaps accompanied by Sue’s home made scones with Scottish raspberry jam.
